All states have their own D.O.T. requirements for street legal equipment. On the other hand, check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). Certainly get the information for your local requirements. Furthermore, most states require a Horn (120 db+), Lighted License Plate and Turn Signals. However, not all states require turn signals (hand signals are ok). Above all, we highly recommend turn signals for your added safety. That is to say, we know through experience that some drivers DO NOT know what hand signals are.

I get asked a few times every month, why don’t you use the UTV or ATV rear OEM lights for the rear turn signals? The answer is very simple. I developed my Turn Signal Kits (TSK) to be completely independent for THREE main reasons. ONE, you do not want any possible feedback from the LED Electronic Flasher into the ECU of your UTV or ATV. Consequently, electronic feedback can cause problems with your ECU and they are very expensive to replace. TWO, you do not want to affect (invalidate) your manufactures warranty by tapping into any existing OEM lights or wiring. THREE, you want both rear stop lights when activating the turn signals (like our automobiles), not just one. As a result, with all my different Kawasaki street legal kits you will never have these concerns or issues.

First of all this horn kit is for making your recreational vehicle street legal or letting those around you know you’re there. Furthermore, most states require the horn to be 120 db or more, ours is 130 db, very loud, legal and D.O.T. approved in all states. In addition this 12 volt horn kit comes complete with all the parts, wiring and instructions with diagrams.

Therefore, these models use our Custom Turn Signal Switch (RNG Mid-size) TSS Mounting Plate (recommended). To clarify, this custom plate was designed to mount the turn signal switch below the steering wheel on the plastic shroud. Used with our stock #104, #105 or #107-SM LED Turn Signal Kits. The SM LED Turn Signal Kit with surface mount Super Bright D.O.T. approved LED lights (no brackets required). In addition, our SM LED light kit comes with 2 surface mounted ¾” inch amber (front) LED lights. Also, 2 surface mounted ¾” inch red (rear) LED lights. However, you can add additional lights to give your Kawasaki street legal UTV a custom look.

This SM LED light kit comes with a column mounted turn signal switch. First of all, it has a pilot light for the turn signals and 4-way emergency flashers (hazard warning). Secondly, the turn signal switch has a pull out flare tab for the 4-way hazard lights. Finally, it comes with the hardware to mount it to your steering column.
The four Surface Mounted LED Super Bright Lights are ¾” inch round with an attached rubber grommet for quick mounting. Secondly, they are surface mounted LED’s with a slim-line design for mounting in small spaces (no brackets required). Thirdly, these SM LED’s are D.O.T. approved. In addition, they meet the P2PC requirements for 45 degree mounting and provide superior light output. Furthermore, they have a Space Saving Design, Hi Impact Acrylic Lens and Housing. Finally, they have Completely Resin Sealed Electronics to eliminate corrosion.

In other words, I am 6’3″ and 250 pounds, I have never bumped the TSS and I use my units multiple times a day. Finally, I have sold thousands of the column mounted TSS and never had a customer complain about bumping or breaking one.
